General information

We are open from Tuesday to Friday from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm:
Saturday, Sunday and holidays, from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm

Closed on Mondays and 25 December.

Buy your tickets from the Ticketlandia portal: you can choose the day and slot of your museum visit and pay by credit card.
You will receive a confirmation email with your MUSE ticket in pdf.

On the day of your visit, if you have bought a full-price ticket and you arrive at the time chosen, you can show your digital copy or printed ticket at the entrance to the museum rooms without going to the ticket office.
If, on the other hand, you have special price or free tickets, you must have them checked at the ticket office.

Entry on the date and at the time requested is only guaranteed when you buy your tickets online.

Want to make your visit extra special? Book a guided visit or activity by calling +39 0461 270391, you can pay for it at the ticket office on the day of your visit.

From the MUSE you can walk into the city centre in about 10 minutes.

We love all animals at MUSE, but for security reasons they are not allowed entry to the exhibition rooms.

We do however have a safe space where you can leave your pet: check out the service at this link.

Museum visit

On your own, a visit takes about two and a half hours.

We organise guided visits on various themes at set times.

The average temperature in winter is 22°-23°C with 80% humidity and 29°-30°C in summer with 85% humidity.

Yes. You can even use flash, but not if you are photographing live animals.
Videos can only be filmed for personal use.
For commercial or press purposes, you must receive accreditation at the museum reception or press office by writing to media@muse.it.

Our daily guided visits are in Italian.

For groups of 10 or more, you can book a guided visit in English or German. Book at least two weeks in advance.

  • Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8.30 am to 1.30 pm
  • Tuesday and Thursday from 8.30 am to 1.30 pm and from 2.30 to 4.30 pm

Other facilities

In the Lobby on the Ground Floor there is a locker area where you can leave your backpacks and bags.
This area is not supervised and the MUSE Management is not responsible for theft or damage.

If you lose or break the locker key, you will have to pay a replacement fee of €10.

No, but there are several bars and restaurants nearby.

We do not have a special picnic area inside the museum, but you can eat outside in the large gardens.

You can visit the MUSE Shop without buying a museum ticket or entering the exhibition rooms.

Our library is open from Monday to Friday, from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm.

Family

Certainly, and on each floor you will find an area when you can leave it, if your child wants to explore the museum on foot.

We have many options for our naturally curious little visitors.

You can breastfeed anywhere in the museum, but if you would prefer somewhere quiet, there are two dedicated areas on the Ground Floor and inside the Maxi Ooh!. Ask our pilots or at reception.

No, our museum has no architectural barriers. We want it to be accessible to everyone.

Yes, we organise visits with LIS interpreters for deaf people.
