18 Collections, 1,800,000 specimens, Collection period: since 1850
It is estimated that almost 2 million invertebrates are conserved in the entomological collections of the Muse; the specimens refer to a period of time ranging from around 1850 to the present day, and almost 70% of them come from Trentino. These collections are constantly expanding thanks to acquisitions resulting from research projects carried out by this Section, mainly in Alpine areas (Italian, European and international).
