Lake Ledro Pile Dwelling Museum

Where prehistory is bluer

How did our prehistoric ancestors live? What did they eat? Find out at the Lake Ledro Pile Dwelling Museum, a lively cultural hub that makes prehistory “pop”.

Set up around the remains of the Bronze Age village discovered in 1929, the museum exhibits include reconstructions and original relics from the pile dwelling village (2200-1350 B.C.). A journey back in time, exploring one of the most important UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Alps.
It is the principal museum of ReLED, the Ledro Valley museum network.
The building has obtained Gold level LEED® eco-sustainability certification.

There are several car parks near the museum, subject to payment in the summer (€2 per hour).

For the disabled there is a reserved car park.

If you come by mobile home, the nearest free parking is 5 km away in Bezzecca.

Tourist coaches can stop near the museum entrance for the time it takes to drop off and pick up visitors. They are however dedicated coach parking spaces along the lakeside.

During the summer we organise weekly guided visits in German.
