Parliament of Biodiversity

Parlamento della Biodiversità

What would happen if not only humans, but all forms of life inhabiting the planet, had a say in the halls where the planet’s future is debated? How would our laws change if the voice of a tree, that of a coral reef fish, or of a desert plant carried the same weight as that of a human government leader?

MUSE Agorà turns into a plenary assembly where species become delegates representing the environments they inhabit.

In the Parliament of Biodiversity, plants, animals, fungi and microorganisms take the floor to bring to the assembly’s attention their own issues, solutions and proposals for preserving the vitality of the ecosystems they are part of, and to suggest different ways of inhabiting the planet.

The project was conceived to coincide with COP17, focusing on Biodiversity, held from 19 to 30 October 2026 in Yerevan, Armenia. It is the leading international gathering to discuss the future of biodiversity, and the actions needed to protect it and exploit it sustainably.

In the Parliament of Biodiversity you can enter the debate and take a seat among the delegations of living beings.
During its opening months, the Parliament comes to life through meetings and workshops designed to explore in depth the issues emerging from the assembly, bring different perspectives into dialogue, and fuel discussion. It’s a Parliament that invites us to change perspective, to allow space for other life forms, and to keep questioning the way we inhabit this planet.
