L'impegno MUSE ai tropici

Il MUSE partecipa dal 2006 alla gestione di un centro di ricerca sui Monti Udzungwa, in collaborazione con altre realtà internazionali. Insieme monitoriamo la biodiversità tramite una rete pantropicale e collaboriamo con il Parco Nazionale per censire specie endemiche e foreste. Negli anni abbiamo supportato molti progetti sia in campo scientifico che sociale. Dal 2024 facciamo parte dell’Udzungwa Landscape Strategy, che lega aree protette, conservazione e comunità in una strategia ventennale.

Since 2006, MUSE has been involved in the management of a research centre in the Udzungwa Mountains, in collaboration with other international institutions. Together, we monitor biodiversity through a pan-tropical network and collaborate with the National Park to census endemic species and forests. Over the years, we have supported many projects in both the scientific and social fields. Since 2024, we have been part of the Udzungwa Landscape Strategy, which binds protected areas, conservation and communities in a twenty-year strategy.

Seit 2006 beteiligt sich das MUSE in Zusammenarbeit mit anderen internationalen Einrichtungen an der Leitung eines Forschungszentrums in den Udzungwa-Bergen. Gemeinsam überwachen wir die Artenvielfalt über ein pantropisches Netzwerk und arbeiten mit dem Nationalpark zusammen, um endemische Arten und Wälder zu erfassen. Im Laufe der Jahre haben wir viele Projekte sowohl im wissenschaftlichen als auch im sozialen Bereich unterstützt. Seit 2024 sind wir Teil der Udzungwa Landscape Strategy, die Schutzgebiete, Naturschutz und Gemeinden in einer zwanzigjährigen Strategie miteinander verbindet.
