Ledro Express

Ledro Express takes you on a journey through the Ledro Museum Network. For the 22nd edition of Palazzi Aperti, all the sites in the network will open their doors to the public.

From 10 am to 5 pm, a free shuttle bus runs between the six ReLED stops. Choose where to get off, visit museums and other sites across the valley, and take part in the activities along the route. A chance to discover the places, stories and local heritage of Ledro.

Discover the network

Fucina di Prè

The Fucina di Prè tells the story of the Ciuaroi, the valley’s traditional nail makers. Using a forge, hammers and anvils, they made bròche, the nails used to reinforce the soles of shoes and boots. Here you can discover the tools, techniques and skills used to work iron.

How to get there: From the bus stop, walk towards the monument to the nail makers near the church. Go down the steps opposite the monument: the forge is just below.

Mulino Brighenti

Inside the mill, follow the journey of grain, from grinding and flour production to bread making. Among millstones, gears and old tools, discover how this multi-storey mill once worked.

How to get there: From the bus stop, walk into the village along Via Piave. Cross the river and you will find the mill immediately on your right.

Officina Mazzola

The original tools once used for ironworking are still preserved inside Officina Mazzola. Discover how pickaxes, shovels and other tools were made using the forge, crucible and power hammer.

How to get there: From the bus stop, walk into the village along Via Piave. After about 100 metres, take the cycle path on your left, which passes below the church. At the end of this stretch, cross the small wooden bridge on your left. Just after the bridge, you will find Officina Mazzola on your left, at Via Piave 33.

Lake Ledro Pile-Dwelling Museum

A museum dedicated to the pile-dwelling village that stood here 4,000 years ago. See original archaeological finds and reconstructed huts and, on the lakeshore, the original wooden piles from the ancient settlement emerging from the water.

Ledro Land Art

Follow the trail and discover more than thirty artworks and installations by Italian and international artists.

Many are made from wood, stone and other natural materials and can be found along a trail just over one kilometre long.

Foletto Pharmaceutical Museum

Step inside the historic pharmacy and discover 170 years of pharmaceutical history and tradition. Among stills, mortars and pestles, scales and old machinery, find out how medicines and other products were once made.

How to get there: From the bus stop opposite the Town Hall, continue along Via Vittoria to your left. The museum is just a short walk away.

Garibaldi and Great War Museum, Ossario del Colle Santo Stefano

At the museum, discover the Battle of Bezzecca, Garibaldi’s famous “Obbedisco” (“I obey”) and the history of the valley from the Risorgimento to the First World War. Then head up to Colle Santo Stefano, where you can walk among First World War trenches and tunnels and reach the military ossuary.

How to get to the museum: From the bus stop, the Museo Garibaldino is just a short walk away, along the Assat river.

How to get to the ossuary: From the square, take Via Lamarmora. A little further on, take the steps on your right leading up to the hill.

Molì dei Blèc

Step inside and follow the journey of grain through three floors of early 20th-century machinery. From cleaning to grinding and sifting, discover how the mill of Bezzecca’s last miller once worked.

How to get there: From the bus stop in Piazza Garibaldi, take Via XXI Luglio and continue straight ahead. After about two minutes, you will find the entrance on your right, directly along the road.
