If it were a person, the Fiamme Gialle Bivouac in Cimon della Pala would have many stories to tell: mountaineering expeditions and personal experiences, memories of nights spent at 3,005 meters above sea level on the Spalla del Cimon, in the Pale di San Martino mountain range. But also stories of animals living on the high peaks, climate change, and extreme events it has witnessed in over fifty years of activity.
The Fiamme Gialle bivouac, built and managed by the CAI section of the same name, has been a landmark in the central Dolomites since its construction in 1968.
It is now part of the permanent exhibitions dedicated to the relationship between nature, science, and society.
