The Alpine biodiversity maze

You set off on an imaginary downhill route covering 2,000 metres, through 28 different natural environments, all just waiting to be explored.

From the rocky peaks to the valley bottom, the maze is a whole series of different ecosystems and animal and plant species that adapt and change with the altitude and the seasons.

You will come across stoats, bears, woodpeckers, badgers, and migratory birds at every turn. Listen to their calls and observe them as step by step you move through real examples, natural settings, sounds and videos.

Changing with the seasons

Life in Alpine areas is particularly difficult at some times of year. What survival strategies have forms of life here developed over time?

Natural and interactive exhibits and videos explain how animals large and small, plants and microorganisms adapt to the difficulties caused by the changing seasons in the Alps.

Into the woods

The scent of wood, berries and mushrooms, rough tree bark and the warmth of thick soft fur. Everything here is for the kids, to satisfy their natural curiosity.

Playing, smelling, touching, exploring and becoming a real woodland creature: continually discovering new things in an experience to enjoy and remember.
