Attendees will be asked to provide details on all points mentioned in the Registration form. Two distinctive forms are proposed, one for participants and one for accompanying persons.
Registration will be valid only after paying the Registration fee online by credit card.
We encourage all who plan to participate to register as early as possible so that the organizers can plan and size the events accordingly.
Please note that the registration deadline for participants intending to present a contribution is Friday 24 February 2017; this is the last date also to buy tickets for the Arena Opera. After this deadline, it will be possible to register without contributions nor guaranteed tickets for the Arena Opera and with increased fee (if you will register after 24 February 2017 and before 15 May 2017, the fee will be higher by about 1/3).
A reduced Registration Fee will be offered to Students. To benefit from this offer, students need to indicate in the Registration form the e-mail of a Supervisor that can confirm student-status at request.
There is provided Awards (for early registered students and young researchers)
BIGFive offers a financial support for the best oral or poster presentation by a student or an early career chironomidologist (not hired and with maximum 1 year of postdoctoral experience), in any case under 30 years old.
An evaluation Committee and a delegate of the BIGFive team will manage the competition during the Symposium.
The winner will receive a check for 500 Euros.

The Registration Fee does not include travel and accommodation, the 2-days field trip (7-8 July 2017) and three dinners (on Monday 3 -after the toast in the Winery!, Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6).
As regards the dinner in Verona on Wednesday 5, we suggest to take any street food everywhere around the Arena after the guided tour to the city – the queue to the Arena theater will start in late afternoon.
The registration fee for Accompanying persons includes the complete Social Programme proposed to the participants (conference kit coffee breaks, lunches, abstract book, proceedings and scientific programme attendance are excluded).
The participation to the symposium by under 6 years old children is free. A reduced fee is offered to children of 7-12 years old.
Important to know:
- children under the age of 6 are not admitted to the Arena Opera Festival performance
- the field trip is recommended for children over 6 years
- children over 12 years can freely visit the museum without being accompanied by an adult
- the MUSE is organizing a babysitting service (
TATA APP) at a reduced fee, during the scientific sessions at the MUSE or in the evening at the hotel.
If your accompanying person is under 6 years old, please contact the Organizing Secretariat to plan together organizational arrangements.

Refund policy for the congress registrationIf you completed your registration before 24 February 2017 and no longer wish to attend the congress, we will refund
50% of the registration fee paid if the cancellation is sent in writing to the 20ISC Secretariat at
valeria.lencioni@muse.it before 15 May 2017. Cancellations received after 15 May 2017 will not be refunded.
